While attending the NAMM show in January 2010. I was searching for a sound that would be assertive and unique at the same time. I came across the HiShaker booth and I loved what I saw and heard! The HiShaker from Evamar Sound Design was very unique sounding and also looked really cool and thus caught my eye. I had been on a very busy schedule that year at NAMM but every moment I could I spent it at the HiShaker booth.
I found it to be interesting that you could play a shaker with your foot! Having met Jason Brewer and his Wife Sunday. They told me about the company and its motive. I also learned that they are also from the Seattle area! Jason showed me around the booth expressing his very friendly personality. And that was the moment that my relationship with Jason and HiShaker began. Jason sat down on the drum kit and demoed the Hishaker for me, I was really impressed in the sound, and then you can also attach a small metal ball chain and that totally changed the sound again!
