The kick drum for me is the heartbeat of the drum kit. I believe that the kick drum should sound it’s best at all times. After all what’s the fist thing the front men ask for in their monitor mix? The The KickPort™ is one part of my signature kick drum sound. The KickPort™ allows me to feel and hear the low end of the kick drum. Fully utilizing my tuning techniques The KickPort™ brings the natural resonance of my kick drum to its maximum low-end voice.

The KickPort™ Drum Insert applies subwoofer technology to your bass drum giving you low end you feel, even lower than your ears can hear.  Additionally, it adds ideal dampening to the head which allows you to reclaim all that valuable resonant space inside your beautiful drum.  So now you are free to remove that giant sleeping pillow choking the vibrations of the shell and replace it with minimal internal dampening.

So what is the result?

Simply a much richer tone.  You hear your drum speak, and you hear more of its voice.

So how does it work?

The KickPort adds punch by enhancing low frequencies, adding warm compression, and increasing resonance inside the drum.  Plus it focuses the sound.

So what does that mean to you behind the kit?

Simply more punch, better batter head response, a much improved kick presence for the audience via your live or studio engineer.  More so, you will feel and hear all those beautiful things whether or not you are mic’d up.
